"American Sniper" is at it's best when it is in Iraq. The battle sequences are very well filmed and do a good job of putting the audience in the heat of battle. However that's really the only positive thing I can say about the movie. A big flaw is the duel of sorts between Chris Kyle and the Iraqi sniper Mustaffa. That whole element of the story is just a ripoff of the better film "Enemy at the Gates". Clint Eastwood's 2006 and 2007 war films "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters From Iwo Jima" are better.

I really enjoyed it and one of the best films of the year. But why is Michael Moore and Seth Rogen trying to crush this movie? I am as liberal as they come and do not see the validity in their comments. Any ideas?
