10. Frozen (A slice of vintage Disney) 9. The Place Beyond the Pines (Man, Bradley Cooper can act) 8. Hunger Games: Catching Fire (Exceeded the first in every possible way) 7. The World's End (First hour is pure stinging comic gold) 6. Saving Mr. Banks (Tom, Emma, Colin, Paul. All Brilliant) 5. 12 Years a Slave (Difficult viewing but brilliant work. Pitch perfect.) 4. Mud (Wildly underrated) 3. The Way Way Back (Also wildly underrated) 2. Man of Steel (Yes, I will defend it any day of the week.) 1. Gravity (Shocked the hell out of me.)

Just saw Nebraska. What a great film. It reminded me a lot of Rain Man, and Will Forte just carried that film. And the screenplay was just great. Thanks for the review.

Would have liked to see The Place Beyond the Pines mentioned since you are one of the few (top)critics to really praise it for all it's terrific elements rather than criticize the direction of the third act.

A great list. Thanks for sharing. The Spectacular Now is one awesome movie. I would rate it Number 1, Gravity Number 2, Mud Number 3. Can't wait to see Out of the Furnace. Cheers.....
