Dani Ksaid on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 10:06:42 PMI agree that there was alot of lost potential but I do love this movie because usually in Disney type movies the girls are drop dead gorgeous and marry handsome and rich princes. I like the change up of her being an average girl who doesn't need to be married to be happy. It gives a better message to kids today who are way to worried with their looks and dating 'the hottest kid in school'. There should be more movies like this but once again it didn't reach it's full potential so I give it about a b+ or a-.
Stevensaid on Monday, July 09, 2012 12:37:11 PMI was kind of disappointed I think the B- rating is fair. I wish it was focused on trying to be an "epic" I agree, lost opportunity, it could of been so much better but ended up being just decent and forgettable.
Simmonssaid on Monday, June 25, 2012 11:02:56 PMI just saw it today, and although I didn't expect greatness, I was still disappointed because it really had the potential to be a great movie, but the plot wasn't large enough for the scale that the film presents.
Connie said on Sunday, June 24, 2012 2:44:19 PMI'm just wondering if the 3D is worth the extra money for a family of 4. I have been disappointed in the past.
Reply from Richard Roeper Connie: IMHO, you should NOT spend the extra money for the 3D version. "Brave" does have some beautiful visuals, but there's nothing special about the 3D effects.
Nathansaid on Saturday, June 23, 2012 1:55:57 PMCompletely agree. Great movie to take your kids to, yet doesn't live up to Pixar's usual standard.
Jordansaid on Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:33:33 PMRichard, your post says "B" but you gave Brave a "B-" in your video- just in case you were unaware.
Reply from Richard Roeper Hi Jordan, We fixed it, thanks for the heads-up! Best RR
Rafaelsaid on Thursday, June 21, 2012 7:25:41 PMI hope is good enough for my wife and kids who are talking about this movie all year. Even my wife want to get that crazy red hair, lol. I love Pixar's Monster's Inc, The Incredibles, Bug's Life but nothing like the Toy Story series. I found Nemo a very typical father and son adventure, nothing special besides the animation. Ratatouille is Ok. Up and Wall-E were cute but not awesome. I like Cars but Cars 2 bored me to dead. Hoping Brave please me!
