Basically, the audience who would be interested in seeing it has already seen it (myself included and it's great) and that leaves those who wouldn't be interested in seeing it, who just won't get it. It's a terrific movie, funny, touching, great performances. But Carrey's core audience simply isn't ready to see him in graphic sodomy scenes with another guy at least not enough to have the film make any money. But the filmmakers should be proud of the film it's very good.
