Jim said on Friday, October 29, 2010 4:34:21 PM I agree whole heartedly w/Gina. I knew the hook-up between the Psychic and the French reporter and the English boy was coming but even before we get there I was expecting more depth into the after life. I think Eastwood threw us a curve ball. But I didn't mind not hitting it. As Gina says.."too understated to the point of insignificance".
Gina said on Sunday, October 24, 2010 5:20:28 PM I was so excited to see this film, and the beginning was great but as the movie progressed it lost it's fire. I thought the acting was uninspired (except the little boys) and the whole movie lacked sufficient richness - too much time was spent on mundane scenes (e.g. entering buildings, eating, meetings, mundane conversation etc.)With such a great subject matter there was room for more interesting drama and depth. Maybe Eastwood was going for subtle but for me it came across as too understated to the point of insignificance.
