The reaction to this movie fascinates me, because everyone seems to want to give PTA the benefit of the doubt. The majority of the positive reviews have the concession that the narrative story is incoherent and nearly non-existent, and that the redeeming quality is the well established atmosphere and the good performances. Personally the latter wasn't able to make up for the confusing and boring story, but I see for you the performances and atmosphere were enough to warrant a recommendation. It's interesting to see so many people share such a similar summation of the movie but I gotta say that definitely makes one out of two of us.

Dude!!!

Please watch it again. This is one of the most darkly funny movies of last year (and one of the best after Birdman).

A "B" seems somewhat slight.
