Steven Freekinsaid on Monday, January 07, 2013 10:19:36 AMJust saw Killer Joe this weekend on Bluray and it was amazing. William Friedkin has returned with a vengeance in this dark, edgy, hilarious, and disturbing tale of a not so Norman Rockwell American Family in the South. It explores Billy's trademark theme, that thin line between good and evil and the darkness that lurks inside. Matthew McConaughey gives perhaps the finest performance of his career. Honestly, i don't think the film deserved its NC-17 rating. Everyone gave topnotch performances, the photography was fantastic and stylish and the ending sequence is no exception to Billy Friedkin's trademark ambiguous endings that is shocking and brilliant like, Sorcerer.

Petersaid on Monday, September 03, 2012 4:15:51 PMHey Richard! saw Killer Joe and i agree 100% of your review. It's one of the best films of the year. Matthew McConaughey will probably get a best supporting oscar nomination. What a fantastic film.
