"Lone Survivor" is very well made and very entertaining. I think it was a very good idea to show actual footage of men training to be Navy SEALs during the opening credits. It gives the viewer audience very good insight into just how difficult and brutal the training is and it makes you appreciate the brave and tough soldiers who go through it even more. Mark Wahlberg is very good as Marcus Lutrell. The battle scenes doa great job in showing what Lutrell and his fellow SEALs endured during a frightening ordeal. However I disagree only slightly with Richard here. I would give the movie a "B" rather than a "B+". I just saw a little of "Black Hawk Down" in this movie. Also, the final climatic battle sequence is recycled right out of "Saving Private Ryan". Still, "Lone Survivor" is a very good movie that should not be missed.

Mr. Roeper, how does the film lack emotional depth?
