Mr Roeper you watch movies for a living and should by now to be familiar with the politically correct doctrine that families once broken are not to get back together. After seeing dozens of movies that dangle a re-union possibility in front of the audiences only to show that "It's better to be a broken family", I was sure the couple in this story would not end up together again. Surprised, Yes, happily so. As to the quality of the movie, I would say it was on a par with Miss Doubtfire but with the right ending.
