I absolutely agree but would add Moulin Rouge (though not strictly a comedy). I own only 3 dvd's since they are the only movies I can rewatch and enjoy as thoroughly as the first time: Shakespeare in Love, Love Actually and Moulin Rouge.

Actually, LOVE,ACTUALLY is my #2. My #1 is 50 FIRST DATES. I consider SARAH MARSHALL to be just a comedy.

seriously, though, these are the five best romantic comedies:

Groundhog Day
The American President
(500) Days of Summer
The Lonely Guy
When Harry Met Sally

and a special mention to these movies, which are not quite in the genre, but have more romance and laughs than most rom-coms:

The Princess Bride
Romancing the Stone
True Lies
