John Moore said on Thursday, August 16, 2012 1:55:50 PM Mr. Roeper, This is a good list. Most of these looked terrible from just the trailers; That's My Boy actually made me angry. But you forgot one movie that disappointed me the most this year: Dark Shadows. I've always been a fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp but this was no where near as good as their past collaborations. For the first 40 minutes I was enjoying Burton's beautiful eye for Gothic visuals, Depp's performance and the humor. But after a while you realize that the filmmakers were more concerned with Barnabus making fun of the 70s than a coherent plot. I also felted the fight at the climax felt rushed; the werewolf made no sense. I will remember this film when I make my own Worst of the Year list.
