Personally, I consider the price of admission a requirement for me to see the full extent of the cinematic product. And that includes any and all the creativity that goes into the closing credits. I can take care of any bathroom break before the movie, and only consume a small-to-medium drink in the theater, so I can certainly invest the additional time neceassary to sit through the FULL credits.

I agree with this for the most part. Unless the key grip etc is actually in the audience, people shouldn't feel like the have to stay. And I think having two stingers for Avengers added extra confusion. One nitpick though: the scene in the Incredible Hulk with Tony Stark was actually before the credits. There were no actual stingers in that movie, just pre-credits epilogues.
