The Best of Time (1985) Shouldn't be be on the list, but its a wonderfully underrated film that people should check out. Peace.

I like THE LONGEST YARD. I hated the Adam Sandler remake. ALL THE RIGHT MOVES reminds me of high school too. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is my favorite. I wore out the VHS tape of RUDY. The Nick Nolte film will be on my list to watch. Cool list.

thomassaid on Friday, September 02, 2011 11:00:53 PM Varsity Blues? Or Any Given Sunday? Hahahaha.

I agree with 3 choices, Jerry Maguire was forgettable to me and Remember the Titans was brutally manipulative.

that said you made me want to watch/rewatch all the right moves, Friday Night Lights,.... possibly Rudy, not sure & definitely North Dallas Forty.

I personally feel The Program should have ranked higher and THANK ALL THAT IS HOLY you didn't mention On Any Given Sunday!!!!!! which was weak sauce and stupid enough to show a player losing his eye and them scooping it up.

What about Any Given Sunday?
Great cast and one of the most memorable speeches ever.

Very solid list. While Rudy might be corny and sentimental, I do think it deserves to be on any football movie list. No shame there.

I'm curious to know your thoughts on Any Given Sunday.

Great list; two others I would include in the honorable mentions list are Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday" and Ericson Core's "Invincible".
