Good list, although I think that Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow should've made the list instead of Batman. Sweeney Todd was Depp's best performance to date, as well as a great adaptation of the play. Sleepy Hollow was the best vision of Washington Irving's tale to date. But thanks for having this segment. Tim Burton is one of the best out there! Thanks Richard!

I have to say I'm surprised you picked "Big Fish" as your favorite Burton movie despite your giving it a "thumbs down" when it first came out. What made you change your mind?

And this is why you are my favorite film critic. Your number one is one of my all time favorites. Thanks for your constant enthusiasm, Mr. Roeper! You are the best.

Great list -- was hoping that Ed Wood and Big Fish would be in there as they get pretty short shrift as two of the less obviously quirky movies in his canon.
