Mark J said on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 4:42:48 PM Has Richard Roeper lost it??? Regrettably, I think so. Richard used to be my "go to" critic for films. Of late, I find myself disagreeing with him more and more. The Sherlock Holmes sequel is a good example of this. Only a C+ from Mr. Roeper while he calls the movie "Friends with Benefits" one of the "most entertaining movies of the year." Sherlock Holmes was absolutely solid Hollywood fare deserving of at least a B+ (if not A-). On the other hand, Friends with Benefits was one of the most knuckle-headed scripts I've ever had to suffer through (oh the snappy dialogue of young hip people naked is so, so, clever--not!). I'll keep coming back to RR's site hoping to see the edge and taste come back to this great critic!
