Super strikes a wildly uneven tone lurching between occasionally funny dark comedy, heavy-handed religious satire and some pretty hardcore violence.

Hi, Richard, I just watched this movie and I had high hopes that it would be like "Kick-Ass" with Dwight Schrute, but I have to agree with you - this was extremely over the top, hardcore, and uneven. I also agree with you that Ellen Page was the best part, but what killed this movie for me were the trailers billing this movie as a fun and exciting movie when it was really depressing like a superhero version of "Taxi Driver", and the amount of rape scenes in this movie, whether they were meant to be funny or not. This could have been a lot better. Anyway, I'm a huge fan of your work and watch your reviews every week. Keep up the good work!
