I thought your review was fair but for some of us, the fact we don't have someplace to stay while we sell a haunted house (which obviously might not be easy) might have something to do with the fact we just don't move out. That, or being extremely logical and not believing in it.

I agree with Alex, you do use that phrase quite often :-)
But I also agree with your review of this movie, and to your initial point of why wouldn't somebody just use common sense and get the heck out of a creepy place like that (which is one of the reasons I don't like these kind of movies, cause they're just lack of a good writing) they do address that subject in more than one way and more often than 2 times like you said. I was pleasantly surprise by this movie, everything works, camera movement to give you that extra sense of suspense, acting (not over the top screams or evil cliché looks), the kids are not over exploited to get the cheap sense of helplessness, the real scary scenes involve the grown ups. Last time I felt this good about a scary movie was with "The Others" with Nicole Kidman.
Thumbs up for me :-)

Richard, you know what your problem is? You say, "what could possibly go wrong?" too much.
