Johan said on Friday, August 13, 2010 11:18:26 AM Spot on with this one. Sometimes the purpose of a movie is to simply escape for an hour or two. This one fails. Which companies put money into this? Surely enough it's not anyone looking to make a decent film but are just after the cash. Blue Velvet isn't entertaining? Pssh.
Bruce Warner said on Sunday, July 18, 2010 2:42:09 PM Blew this one. I couldn't disagree with you more. Sometimes the purpose of a move is to simply escape for an hour or two. This one succeeds. Geeky kid, wacky sorcerer and all, it definitely hit my summer release button. Give me a reviewer that believes there's such a thing as just plane entertainment in a film.
