There were jabs and low blows, but also a discernible level of respect between the actors or "friends" in the cast. It avoided many of the cliche jokes and scenarios that fill parodies like the Scary Movie franchise or most Sandler movies of the past decade. This Is The End was familiar but still original, and incredibly entertaining. Easily one of the funniest movies of the decade. Great review, Richard.
